About The Position

California Faucets is looking to bring on a 1st Shift Material Handler for a temporary assignment. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 5:15AM to 2:00PM. The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that the production departments are fully stocked and have the products/materials that they need to fulfill orders and move product quickly. They maintain the flow of merchandise between warehouse and production locations using equipment such as lifts, motor vehicles and pallet jacks. They are responsible for stocking raw goods inventory into warehouse locations and maintaining and assisting with the organization of picking aisles. They also perform quality control measures to ensure that quality-checked merchandise is available to the production departments as needed. In addition to these duties, the Material Handler will also have the following responsibilities: Receiving Purchase Orders (PO’s) into the ERP system from outside vendors. Scanning tickets into the ERP system and producing labels. Physically unwrapping cartons, visually inspecting parts, and reconciling PO’s for count and quality. Bagging, inspecting, and labeling finished parts. Performing regular replenishment requests by processing receipts and putting parts away into stock locations. Picking parts from inventory locations and performing cycle counting. Maintaining inventory accuracy through physical and system inventory audits. Loading and unloading delivery trucks to ensure that each incoming delivery matches the PO. Identifying when product is missing or damaged from an order. Carrying and transporting materials utilizing material handling equipment, such as with handcarts, a Standup Forklift, and with company vehicles. Driving replenishment product/materials between multiple warehouses. Actively participating in problem solving, process improvement, and helping all team members finish daily tasks. Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse locations, accurate labeling, verifications, and troubleshooting discrepancies. Performing additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Requirements

  • The ability to read and count accurately and perform basic math.
  • The ability to operate material handling equipment, such as a standup forklift (cherry picker).
  • Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
  • Adaptability/flexibility when encountering problems. Must be able to communicate discrepancies to team leader and be able to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, persistence.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently is strongly preferred.
  • Forklift experience and certification is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with an ERP system is strongly preferred.
