About The Position

This is a mid-level position for a Material Handler. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including receiving and issuing material at Warehouses and Facilities, maintaining accurate inventory, operating forklifts, operating barcode scanners, and operating hand tools (Banders, etc.).

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record over the past 5 years
• Previous fork-lift experience with the ability to demonstrate proficiency at time of interview
• Basic computer skills and use of barcode scanners
• Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• More than 1 year of warehousing experience
• Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material Handling process
