About The Position

The Material Handler will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Follow and adhere to company policies
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Ability to identify and resolve basic problems
  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
  • 1-3 years' experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate PC knowledge
  • Ability to identify and resolve intermediate problems
  • Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials
  • Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program
  • 2 to 5 years' experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn and use problem solving tools in everyday work
  • Previous experience coaching and training other employees
  • Experience leading and forming teams

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience and ability to operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials
  • Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program

Responsibilities

  • Picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production.
  • Working closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand.
  • Achieving company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.
  • Working under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Participating in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity and work is reviewed for accuracy.
  • Completing and retaining all required training.
  • Resolving problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity, following defined procedures and practices.
  • Participating in 5S programs that are based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal. If abnormal, fix the area immediately.
  • Completing forklift daily per procedure.
  • Maintaining good attendance per policy.
