About The Position

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials. Available Shifts: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday; 6 AM - 2:30 PM) 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday; 2:30 PM - 11 PM) Overnight (2-2-3 Schedule; 6:45 PM - 7 AM) Primary Objective: Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area. Major Function and Scope: Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.), move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts. Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Operates forklift equipment. (Sit-down for MH I; Standup/Reach Truck for MH II): Maintains clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc. Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
  • 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
  • No experience required for pallet jack.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Good record keeping skills.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Accurate measurement capability.
  • Ability to understand and speak basic English.
  • Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
