About The Position

As a Material Handler, you will support a designated division or department by handling and organizing materials and maintaining related records. The role includes inventory control, keeping equipment and supply records accurate, and stocking and restocking material throughout a designated shop area. The position operates in a manufacturing environment and may involve using a forklift to move materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Able to walk, stand, and remain physically active for extended periods.
• Able to learn computer systems, databases, and a variety of software programs.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate with coworkers.
• Able to multitask with attention to detail.
• Able to maintain an organized work area.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience.
• Previous experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, and maintain records of new and existing materials.
• Communicate with staff and management to identify material needs.
• Fill workstations with the appropriate hardware and materials.
• Record materials using a scanner or designated computer program.
• May use a forklift to transport, load, and unload materials.
• Learn and follow safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidents.
• Learn and follow manufacturing policies and practices to support consistent production.
• Follow standard work and process instructions to ensure quality and identify potential product-quality risks.
