About The Position

The Material Handler ensures materials are properly staged, prepared, and ready for distribution by performing various tasks including material preparation and staging, order fulfillment, verification and documentation, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean work area. This role requires the ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and proficiency in basic math and measurement skills. The position is located in a warehouse setting and involves physical demands such as lifting and moving materials.

Requirements

1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Willingness to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift.
Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.
Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes required.

Responsibilities

Deburring, packing, export preparation, receiving, and shipping.
Pulls material from stock to fill sales orders accurately.
Verifies materials, packs for shipment, and records necessary information on sales orders.
Safely operates powered industrial equipment (i.e. combilift, side loader, forklift) to move and stage materials.
Maintains a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.
