Material Handler - 1st Shift or 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler manages materials within the shop, including shipping and receiving products. The role tracks and receives incoming vendor shipments, processes customer returns, and prepares, packages, and processes outgoing customer shipments. It also involves loading and unloading vehicles as needed and distributing materials to the shop floor according to job requirements. The Material Handler follows safety procedures, helps maintain safety systems, supports equipment troubleshooting and repair, maintains quality in parts handled, works with quality personnel to meet standards, and meets key performance indicators.
Requirements
- Experience in material handling, shipping, and/or receiving is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception.
- Collaborate with the VP of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as needed.
- Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts handled.
- Work with Quality Auditors, the Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Meet all key performance indicators.
- Track and receive incoming shipments from vendors.
- Process incoming customer returns.
- Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments to customers.
- Load and unload vehicles as necessary.
- Distribute materials to the shop floor based on job requirements.
