Requirements

  • Experience in order pulling, shipping and receiving is essential.
  • Must be self motivated.
  • Able to understand and follow procedures specified by the company for both Quality and Operation of the Receiving, Shipping and Parts Storage areas.
  • In addition to being able to maintain the processes, Material Handler Specialist must have the ability to operate all equipment associated with the Receiving, Shipping and Parts Storage departments
  • Must be an active team member, capable of communicating and working effectively and harmoniously with their peers and supervisors.
  • Must be flexible and able to change and adapt working practices as required to suit the changing needs of the business.
  • Must be a capable of setting up and maintaining simple mechanical equipment in accordance with operating manuals.
  • Follow direction / instruction of group leader or supervisor.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of handling heavy weights.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified duties involving pulling orders, packing, receiving and shipping products working from customer orders, special production orders, drawings, inventory reports, cycle counting and written or verbal instructions.
  • Using equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoist, packaging machinery and computer systems.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
  • This will be accomplished with working to the proper methods and procedures stipulated by the U.S. Tsubaki standards.
  • Must have fork truck training and knowledge in the areas of Shipping, Receiving and Parts Storage Department.
  • Carrying out quality control checks as defined by operational procedures and recording all information as stipulated by the company’s procedures
  • Take responsibility for output from any process operated, ensuring that all quality and performance standards are maintained within the targets set by US Tsubaki.
  • Responsible for recording and removal of any defects and informing the production supervisor where faults are suspected.
  • Recommends and implements corrective actions to the processes concerned.
  • Operation of the machines within the Receiving, Shipping and Parts areas, including loading / unloading materials to the equipment.
  • Coverage of additional machines is expected during short periods of absence or meal breaks.
  • Ensure that all process settings within the areas are maintained.
  • Carry out or assist other employees to maintain the efficient operation of their machines.
  • Carry out any maintenance or adjustments necessary to ensure the efficient operation of all machines and quality of output within the area.
  • Ensure that all processes operated are maintained under control and that prompt corrective action is taken to prevent the process drifting from the required operating parameters.
  • Ensures that materials are supplied to the appropriate area to ensure an uninterrupted flow of production is maintained.
  • Responsible for executing and maintaining any planned maintenance schedules in operation.
