Material Handler Specialist, Inventory Location: Clear Brook, VA, USA - 4027 Martinsburg Pike Shift – Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm Note - Shift subject to change based on the needs of the business. OT may be required and is mandatory if required. Position is eligible for benefits Job Summary Responsible for the efficient movement, handling, and storage of medical-surgical products within our distribution center, ensuring accurate inventory and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role, preferably within a medical or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) with valid certification preferred. If no experience, the location is willing to train, but, must maintain certifications
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and data entry. RF Webpage and JD Edwards experience would be assets
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of medical-surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Verify product quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Store products in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
  • Pick and stage orders according to customer specifications and established procedures.
  • Pack and label outgoing shipments accurately and securely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory processes to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and uphold service level agreements.
