Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton, (EDE) location, the Material Handler - Shipping and Receiving will report to the Materials Management Supervisor. The Material Handler - Shipping and Receiving will be responsible for loading and un-loading material, moving, handling, and organizing all incoming and outgoing materials. Current openings is for night shift.

Requirements

Minimum education level of a High School Diploma is required.
Minimum 1+ years of Material Handling experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic level computer skills in MS Office; including Excel experience.
Valid forklift certification with a minimum of 1-2 years’ or prior experience.
Valid CSTS 2020 certificate.
Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

Overhead crane experience or certificate is considered an asset.
Due to the safety sensitive nature of this position successful candidates will undergo pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

Co-ordinate and take direction from Senior Material Handler
Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts, forklifts, cranes or pallet jacks.
Prepares goods and materials for PCR/E-House department, including: staging, loading, and documentation.
Ensure all received materials are organized and distributed to the correct personnel or placed production areas.
Removes surplus material and product after tasks are complete and places back in storage or disposes in trash.
Monitors all shop trash and trash bins, empties or places trash into large Bin located outside.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all material and inventory supplies in the PCR/E-House production area.
Work with co-workers, supervisors, and planners to ensure all material is delivered on time.
Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
Ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.
Other duties as required.
