Material Handler/Saw Operator

About The Position
The Material Handler / Saw Operator is responsible for handling, cutting, and preparing steel materials to support production operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED.
- Certificate or degree in welding preferred.
- Welding knowledge through experience or vocational training.
- Ability to pass a preliminary weld test.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience welding, cutting, and/or fabricating metal parts.
- Experience in wire feed welding, MIG or TIG welding.
- Knowledge of overhead crane and forklift operation.
Responsibilities
- Handle and process steel materials according to production requirements.
- Operate saw equipment to cut steel to specified dimensions.
- Punch and drill holes in steel components as required.
- Accurately read and use a tape measure to ensure proper measurements and cuts.
- Utilize common shop tools safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials using a forklift.
- Organize and stage materials for production use.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
