Material Handler RV - F Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler RV position involves assisting with the receipt and storage of incoming raw materials, operating forklifts and box clamps, and potentially a yard truck within the facility yard. Responsibilities include reading and understanding shipping documentation, utilizing a scan gun for data entry into the JD Edwards system, assisting with inventory counts, and managing the movement of finished goods from production lines to designated warehouse locations. The role also entails dumping trash, cleaning warehouse areas, inspecting trailers before loading, and loading transfer orders for distribution or direct customers. Material Handlers will assist with transferring raw materials to production lines, communicate yard and trailer status, perform and document truck/trailer and facility yard inspections, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility yard, parking lot, trucks, forklifts, and box clamps. This position is designated as Safety-Sensitive and Product Security Sensitive, requiring adherence to security standards to prevent unmanifested cargo in outbound shipments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Forklift and Clamp truck experience
- Must be organized and able to multi-task and solve issues in a timely manner
- Must be able to work with speed in a fast-paced environment and with accuracy
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be flexible with schedule and able to work overtime as required
- Good attendance is expected
Nice To Haves
- 1 - 2 years warehouse experience preferred
- Experience in warehouse functions of JD Edwards preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the receipt and storage of incoming raw materials.
- Certify to operate forklifts and box clamps.
- May be responsible to certify and operate yard truck to transfer both empty and loaded trailers within facility yard.
- Read and understanding a Bill of Ladings and ST. OT paperwork.
- Utilize scan gun to log data into JD Edwards system.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Responsible for wrapping and moving finished goods from production lines to designated warehouse location.
- Responsible for dumping trash and cleaning warehouse area.
- Inspects trailers before entering loads.
- Loads transfer orders on trucks routed to Distribution Center or direct to customers.
- Assist with transfer of raw materials to production line work centers.
- Will be responsible for communicating yard, parking lot and trailer status to distribution and production personnel.
- Will perform and document truck / trailer inspections as well as facility yard inspections.
- Will be responsible for keeping facility yard clean and the parking lot neatly arranged and safe.
- Will be responsible for keeping trucks, forklifts and box clamps clean and notifying management of any mechanical issues.
- Will be responsible for dumping trash and keeping warehouse space clean.
