Material Handler - 3rd Shift
About The Position
Material Handler will work with Team Leader and Group Leader to attain daily schedule requirements. Nature & Scope: -Proactive approach to promote and support safe working environment, required to complete Hazardous Observation form as needed, promptly report all safety concerns. -Responsible for stocking & maintaining the specified raw material(s) for each injection molding machine accurately. -Required to support production scheduling with staging of required materials for use. -Responsible for cleaning, setting up and maintaining dryers, granulators, and material distribution system machinery. -Ensure that the appropriate regrind material is being used whenever it is permitted and available. -Maintain a safe and contamination-free work environment through continual focus and use of good housekeeping practices. -Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues pertaining to grinders, dryers, and the material distribution system. -Maintain quality and accuracy of raw inventory. -Maintain warehouse organization. -Assist with relieving press operators for break and lunches. -Perform other duties as required. Dimensions: Meet company performance goals of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Principal Accountabilities: Able to operate machinery and drive forklifts (obtain license within 30 days). Attentive to details, especially those involving safety, housekeeping, and material handling accuracy. Good mechanical aptitude to assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and system malfunctions. Team player – may be called upon to help relieve press operators for breaks or other tasks as required. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lift and handle items up to 35 lbs. This position requires the ability to lift, climb and move product Ability to understand process flow in production environment. Ability to apply logic and carry out instructions in written or oral form.
