About The Position

McCody is seeking a reliable and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of equipment, loading customers, and be willing to learn and perform the duties of a Precast Production Floor Hand. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner and producing precast concrete products.

18+ years of age
Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Knowledge of load distribution/securement for transport
Read, write, and speak English
Basic documentation skills
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, user instructions, procedure, and operating and maintenance manuals
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions
Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in daily productions
Team-oriented mindset with emphasis on punctuality and reliability

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor equipment, including front-end loaders, gantry crane, overhead crane, skidsteers, forklifts, utility vehicles, and more.
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure safety, accuracy, and complete information.
Maintain awareness of potential hazards on-site and report any safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
Assist with site cleanup and maintenance activities including maintaining yard and ensuring that work areas are clean and organized.
Production set-up and stripping
Concrete placement & finishing
Welding & fabrication
Assisting customers with loading purchases
Shop upkeep & maintenance
All other duties assigned
