Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to 5 yeares of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Make pick-up of goods from customer/vendor as directed by the supervisor. Van drivers must always be prepared to work hard for the team and create a favorable impression of his employer organization to the clients.
  • Deliveries goods to shipping station such as airlines.
  • Reads daily schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Required to maintain regular checks on the vehicle and report malfunctions as soon as possible.
  • Take responsibility for the security and safety of goods during transport while abide by all traffic rules and sound traffic practices at all times.
  • Report any damage/accident of vehicle as soon as possible.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks / labels materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amount of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Use a computer to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Follows special instructions for specific traffic.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
