About The Position

Support the production process by coordinating the movement of material into, within and out to manufacturing in a timely and professional manner. Operate a variety of equipment applicable within assigned area (i.e., CRTs, forklifts, etc.). Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements. Exercise high level of professionalism when responding to internal customer concerns. Knowledge of Lean principles in order to participate in Kaizen events. Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout department through the deployment of the Lean methodology. Support a continuous improvement culture engaging with team members and supervisors in problem solving and decision making. May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and the Internet.
  • Knowledge of all material flow processes.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
  • Ability to achieve high productivity by reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to conduct operator training on standard work to include work instructions, product quality, company and value stream policies and procedures as required.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
  • Ability to function in a high stress, high pressure environment, with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Lead experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years production work experience preferred.
