About The Position

Responsible for performing physical and administrative tasks involved in the handling and storage of inventory. Responsible for executing and overseeing distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Directs and participates in material movement with various equipment, including PLTs. Leads initiatives to update and improve material data stored in Epicor and Omnify Ensures clean and safe conditions throughout area of responsibility. Trains new Material Handling Associates. Coordinates with other warehouse Leads to ensure department objectives are met. Maintains status as a Subject Matter Expert in area of responsibility. Maintains working knowledge of at least two other areas of the Warehouse. Defines, collects, and reports departments KPIs to Management as directed. Recommends and executes layout changes to warehouse racking. With limited support, motivates and coaches other associates. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a role responsible for issuing and handling material
  • Good math skills and intermediate computer knowledge
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Previous forklift experience or ability to pass forklift training and exam

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience installing and removing pallet racking preferred
