About The Position

WSI is currently seeking a Material Handler/Shift Lead in Mount Vernon, IN. Join now and receive a $1500 Sign On Bonus! You have the ability to be at $20.00/hour by the end of your first year! DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under appropriate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, including material receipt, inspections, storage and shipping. Also includes implementing, coordinating and assisting in the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out a sequence of related warehousing functions and responsibilities. Duties require manual, clerical and data entry skills.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Must be reliable and safety-minded
Must have a strong work ethic
Excellent attention to detail
Forklift certified or able to obtain certification
Ability to operate material handling equipment
Willing and eager to learn
Final candidates must possess a solid work history, pass pre-employment background and post offer drug screen/physical.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of all warehouse operations including, receipt, shipment, RF, and housekeeping.
Proficient in the operation of material handling equipment.
Complete understanding and knowledge of system operations and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of WSI Employee Handbook.
Ability to interface with the client and other employees in a professional manner.
Assists in enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Support and provide coverage for Operations Manager during absence.
