About The Position
We are currently searching for a Material Handler to be based out of Milford, UT. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for properly stacking finished pipe and checking for quality. After training, the Material Handler will be able to safely operate and use a forklift to weigh, and transport finished product.
Requirements
- Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes.
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to lift 70 pounds unassisted.
Nice To Haves
- Complete any required training within 3 months.
- Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role within 3 months.
- Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations within 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Able to package finished pipe into proper crate quantities.
- Weigh and transport finished product.
- Able to operate a powered Industrial truck and adhere to all PIT operator and pedestrian safety guidelines.
- Preforms on-the-job training for levels 1 and 2 Material Handlers.
