About The Position

The Material Handler III is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping materials to customers, contract manufacturers, and 3PL locations, with additional support for inventory management and manufacturing materials. Success in this role requires fulfillment and warehouse experience, sharp attention to detail, and the highest standard for quality, accuracy, and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum High school/GED degree required
  • 3-6 years previous experience in materials handling and inventory control
  • Experience in medical device (21 CFR Part 820) or another regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
  • Experience working in a WMS, preferably RF-Smart
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversight
  • Customer service oriented with both internal and external customers
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential
  • Working safely, accurately, and quickly are the key to being successful in this position
  • Good verbal and written skills required, competent in basic math concepts

Nice To Haves

  • Some computer/software skills required; knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Experience shipping regulated Li-ion batteries is a plus
  • Cross trained in a minimum of 1-2 other materials roles
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be physically able to move heavy materials

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, verify and ship customer orders with no errors.
  • Prepare and stage finished goods for distributor shipments, including packing, labeling, and securing products.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing palletized materials and products from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, noting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Generate receiving labels and execute receiving transactions.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels and records.
  • Store and organize materials in designated locations using a systematic approach to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Use inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track material movements and update stock information.
  • Identify and report on inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Support Work Order materials picking, counting staging, and return to stock.
  • Safely operate and conduct pre-use inspections of various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
  • Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all written SOPs and work instructions, and document work subject to GDP
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including loading docks and storage areas.
  • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to a supervisor immediately.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with supervisors, production teams, and other warehouse staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support team goals and production schedules.
