About The Position

This role involves managing the movement and inventory of raw materials and finished products within the facility. The Material Handler III will be responsible for reading work orders, pulling and stocking materials, operating a forklift, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position ensures that materials are available when needed and that proper storage and handling procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read work orders and/or follow oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to pull raw materials, open and close containers, and rotate stock.
  • Ability to receive raw materials into inventory system using source codes.
  • Ability to identify items for inspection and expiration dates.
  • Ability to load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Ability to convey materials from storage or work-sites to designated area.
  • Ability to attach identifying tags or labels to materials and mark information on containers.
  • Ability to designate location for new products, expand locations, and maintain overstock locations.
  • Ability to receive and forward non-stock items to correct departments.
  • Ability to operate a forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Ability to ensure raw materials are stocked daily using proper storage and handling procedures.
  • Ability to keep outgoing lists of new product locations or moved products.
  • Ability to unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Ability to route items to correct departments.

Responsibilities

  • Pull raw materials, as needed; Open containers; Make sure containers are closed back. Rotate stock as needed.
  • Receive raw materials into inventory system using source codes. Identify items for inspection and expiration dates.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Convey materials from storage or work-sites to designated area.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials; mark information on cases, bales, or other containers, as needed.
  • Designate location for new products; expand locations and maintain overstock locations.
  • Receive and forward non-stock items to correct departments; operate forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Ensure raw materials are stocked daily using proper storage and handling procedures.
  • Keep outgoing list of new product locations or which products have been moved so that product labels can be maintained for each location.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items; record shortages, correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages; and route items to correct departments.
