About The Position

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries and a major U.S. manufacturer of tile and natural stone, is hiring a Material Handler II for its distribution operation. The position operates powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and transport them to packing or shipping areas. The role also handles warehouse and receiving work, including order assembly, inventory checks, restocking, inbound shipments, customer returns, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
At least 1 year of previous distribution or warehouse experience.
At least 6 months of previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good record-keeping and listening skills.
Accurate measurement capability.
Ability to understand and speak basic English.
Ability to work safely and conscientiously.

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to packing or shipping areas.
Pull and assemble customer orders and check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness.
Perform inventory stock checks and daily cycle counts.
Restock and label vendor products and maintain displays such as tools and caulk.
Move, store, and replenish materials.
Receive and unload inbound materials, process inbound shipments, and stock materials.
Process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
Maintain a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and general office maintenance.
Follow the Safety Program and report accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts to management.
Perform other related duties as required.
