About The Position

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is hiring a Material Handler I for receiving on the C shift. The role operates powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to the packing station or shipping area. It also performs warehouse and receiving duties, including handling inbound materials, processing shipments and returns, maintaining inventory, and keeping the facility clean, organized, and safe. The shift runs from 6 PM to 6 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, keep records, listen effectively, and measure accurately.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work safely and conscientiously.
• Ability to stand, use hands, reach, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may sometimes need to sit, climb, or balance.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Certified sit-down forklift operator.
• One year of previous warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull and assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness, and convey orders to the packing station or shipping area.
• Perform inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor products, maintain displays, move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
• Receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, and process customer returns.
• Notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Operate forklift and order picker equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, trash removal, and restroom and general office maintenance.
• Follow safety rules and report accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts to management.
• Perform other related duties as required.
