The Material Handler II safely moves materials to production areas on time to help avoid downtime. The role operates forklifts, supports accurate inventory movement and rotation, maintains racks and assigned areas, and follows safety and housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely move materials to production areas on time to avoid downtime.
• Safely operate forklift trucks and immediately report accidents and unsafe areas.
• Follow procedures for daily forklift checks and promptly report safety failures.
• Check that containers are labeled with the correct part numbers and quantities.
• Maintain and consolidate racks and inventory to maximize space.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in assigned areas and promptly report inaccuracies to inventory.
• Pull the oldest products and partial containers first to rotate inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping and appearance to 5S standards in assigned and common production-floor areas.
• Identify ways to maximize space on the production floor and in storage areas.
• Identify ways to deliver materials to production-floor work areas with less effort.
• Become proficient in electronic transactions for inventory movement.
