About The Position
We are currently looking for a Material Handler II to be based out of Thomasville, GA. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for packing finished goods, monitor products for defects, assist in the start-up or changeover of products and keep work area clean and organized.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Machine operation or mechanical skill set experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes desired
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
Responsibilities
- Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications
- Update Hour by Hour boards and compare colors, shapes, textures or grades of products or material with templates or samples to verify conformance to quality standards
- Operate and observe machinery during production, assist with Quality Control duties utilizing quality tools
- Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals
- Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately
