About The Position

The Role: Our site in Burnet is seeking a Material Handler II in packaging to join our team. In this role you would be responsible for packaging, labeling, and preparing finished chemical products for storage and shipment, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and documentation requirements. The shift for this temp role will be 7AM to 4 PM CST Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • A detail-oriented and safety-focused individual with experience in packaging, production, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment where accuracy, documentation, and compliance are critical.
  • Reliable team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using SAP or other inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with finished goods packaging, labeling, and palletizing processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform repetitive packaging tasks.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Prior experience working with chemical or industrial products, including safe handling practices.

Responsibilities

  • Safely package finished goods according to established work instructions, quality standards, and customer specifications.
  • Apply accurate labeling and documentation to all packaged materials, ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products and packaging materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Enter and verify packaging and inventory data in SAP, maintaining accurate records and inventory counts.
  • Stage, move, and organize finished goods in designated storage or shipping areas.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Follow all safety procedures when handling chemical products, packaging materials, and equipment.
