About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler II (IGX Barebones) at their new location at 517 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm until 1:30 am and Friday from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm. During the first approximately 90 days, training will take place on first shift hours. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note that the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to support business requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with persuasive and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups, contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience
  • 3 months of experience utilizing Eaton system controls including material management (DMM) and MRP/ERP (AS400)
  • 3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools.
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and issuing raw materials, assemblies, sub‑assemblies, tools, and supplies.
  • Forwarding all required paperwork for data entry.
  • Assisting planners and buyers with material‑availability processes.
  • Boxing, packing, and shipping finished product and raw materials as needed.
  • Contributing to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by following all policies, using required personal protective equipment, operating equipment properly, and performing 5S duties.
  • Using a variety of material‑handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load materials, place materials in designated bin locations, and deliver materials to work centers.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and completing root‑cause analysis in response to quality or production issues.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met through visual inspection of material prior to shipping, identification of nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting of errors.
  • Participating in cross‑training and covering other job functions when needed.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory through the use of supply‑chain tracking systems.
  • Operating a forklift to move materials.
  • Fulfilling job carts.
  • Completing scrap forms.
  • Utilizing computer systems, including DMM, AS400, and Enovia.
