About The Position
The Material Handler I locates, identifies, counts, weighs, and moves parts and containers within the warehouse. The role uses warehouse equipment and a computer to check part locations, inventory, and routing or ordering information. It also performs routine service on forklifts.
Requirements
- Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.
- Be able to understand written instructions, record transactions accurately, and perform basic calculations.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior forklift experience and/or certification.
Responsibilities
- Locate and identify parts in the warehouse.
- Use a forklift, Raymond, or hoist to move or deliver parts and containers.
- Count parts or use scales to weigh-count them.
- Use a computer to check part locations, inventory, and routing or ordering information.
- Perform routine forklift service, including filling the propane tank, checking and adding engine oil, cleaning the radiator, and washing the forklift.
