The Role We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials and supplies while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years work experience in manufacturing setting
  • Intermittent skills with the latest versions of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to use and access information on a computer
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Experience with inventory data entry and inventory management processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and production workflows.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or extended hours as business needs require.
  • Commitment to maintaining and supporting a zero-incident safety culture

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight manually or using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Verify shipments for accuracy, quality, and quantity against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
  • Prepare, package, wrap, and ship materials and supplies according to established procedures.
  • Deliver and retrieve materials from work areas, storage locations, and designated departments.
  • Tag, issue, stock, and organize inventory while maintaining accurate inventory rotation practices.
  • Receive, store, and ship materials, including flammable, caustic, and other hazardous substances, in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and care of material handling equipment as needed.
  • Support warehouse and inventory operations by performing other related duties as assigned.
