About The Position

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries and a U.S. manufacturer of tile and natural stone, is hiring an entry-level Material Handler I. The role operates powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and move orders to packing or shipping areas. It also includes warehouse, receiving, housekeeping, and safety duties. The position is scheduled for first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM. The listed pay is $19.72 at the entry rate and $21.20 at the three-month rate.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
One year of sit-down forklift operator experience.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good record-keeping and listening skills.
Accurate measurement capability.
Ability to understand and speak basic English.
Ability to work safely and conscientiously.
Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to the packing station or shipping area.
Pull and assemble customer orders and check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness.
Perform inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor products, maintain displays, move, store, and replenish materials, and conduct daily cycle counts.
Receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock materials, process customer returns, and notify management about damaged shipments for freight claims.
Operate forklift and order picker equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and general office maintenance.
Follow the Safety Program and report accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts to management.
Perform other related duties as required.
