About The Position

The Material Handler transfers raw materials, parts, and finished products between production areas and internal or external warehouses. The role delivers parts to assembly lines using equipment in a timely manner to support production schedules, monitors material inventory, and maintains tidy work areas while following detailed safety and quality instructions. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; occasional overtime may be required.

Requirements

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and write notes and memos.
• Perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across units of measure.
• Speak clearly and be understood in one-on-one conversations.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Have prior material handling experience in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate in English.
• Be capable of operating a Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV); testing is required.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Be willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing.
• Have good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts to production areas in a timely manner.
• Count materials, equipment, or supplies and report totals or update inventory records.
• Prepare lists of depleted, defective, or unusable items.
• Locate and extract information from files or online locations as requested.
• Immediately report all safety incidents and accidents to a supervisor.
• Support weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual physical inventories by entering data into the system and assisting with the inventory process.
