Material Handler I - Day Shift

About The Position

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site. Pulls/Transfers and Services Inventory to the different factories. The employee will work to fulfill production schedules, be certified in the quality control process, and meet quality and productivity goals while complying with company safety standards. The role requires forklift certification.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Working knowledge of windows software.
Forklift Certification
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally.
Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs Occasionally.
Must be able to work on your feet including, standing for the entire length of the shift, which are up to 10 hours.
Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, which includes frequently climbing ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, perform quality inspections, and equipment inspections.
