Position Summary: The successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual possessing Logistics experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to perform effectively under pressure. As part of the Logistics department, the Material Handler II will perform various tasks including stocking inventory, parts picking, cycle counting, packaging, shipping and receiving. Each team member is expected to exhibit flexibility and adaptability to be able to perform the following duties and assignments: Job Responsibilities: Loading and unloading trackers trailers with fork trucks, manual pallet jacks, or electric pallet jacks (certification required to operate fork truck equipment. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Post receipts, and material transfers to warehouse, sales orders or networks. Organize / locate material in warehouse racks using inventory system. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, to move material throughout the building. Picking using RF Scanners. Uncrating / unpacking of materials prior to delivery to work centers. Rust prevention and part protection. Ability to create, update and close ITL’s through the Gleason Quality System. Understanding of the FIFO process and ability to transact the inventory accurately. Reconciliation of lost / missing material. Operate large 10 ton and 22 ton forklift. Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of warehouse materials. Safely package customer outbound orders for both parcel and LTL. Generate required shipping documents packing list, invoice, BOL, and other international required documents. Coordinate pickup arrangements with forwarder and customer carriers.
