About The Position

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions and value-added services for freight and transit rail. This role is responsible for handling and distributing materials from the shipping department, conducting inventory, shipments and supplies throughout the plant and warehouse. A quality job of packing wooden/overpack boxes and loading customer orders onto trucks for shipment. Operates industrial lift truck equipment safely and proficiently.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED.
1+ years in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to operate a computer to read and input data.
Must be able to work overtime.
Ability to think critically and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to Pick and Large Pack

Nice To Haves

2+ years of forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately pull parts for production areas and accurately stock parts in warehouse locations.
Shipping/Receiving of outgoing & incoming materials.
Picking and Packing (Medium and Large Pack)
Maintain a clean/organized work area and maintain equipment accordingly.
Comply with safety requirements and company policies.
Complete production and quality assurance forms.
Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities or events as required.
Adhere to Quality Management System Requirements.
Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
Use of a forklift about 30% or less
