About The Position

The primary function of this job is to ensure optimum operation of the flow of incoming, outgoing, and staging of shipments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics
• Must be able to work well in a team
• Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
• Ability to operate handhelds, computers and relevant warehouse management and shipping computer software
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
• Attention to detail is a must.

Nice To Haves

• experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
• Certification to operate forklift truck preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit down and standup), hand trucks and/or other equipment to move freight
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
• Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
• Identify and verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming materials from Production, Vendors, and/or returned goods deliveries
• Move materials to warehouse locations or staging and record their locations in the warehouse using handhelds to maintain accurate inventories
• Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them
• Perform cycle counts
• Maintains a clean warehouse and working environment
• Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear. Is familiar with the use of all safety equipment, when and how to use it. Must also participate and engage in all safety programs and processes.
