About The Position

This position supports Novanta’s Robotics & Automation businesses, including ATI Industrial Automation and Novanta IMS. These teams develop industry-leading solutions spanning robotic end-of-arm tooling, force/torque sensing and integrated stepper motors that enable high-performance automation systems across a wide range of industries. As a Material Handler, you will ensure timely and accurate movement of materials within the facility. Your responsibilities will include packaging, shipping, and receiving and distributing materials.

Requirements

Be able to operate material handling equipment such as hand-trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
Be able to work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
Be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
High School Diploma/GED Required
Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently
1+ Year’s inventory management experience
Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

Moving materials to and from storage areas using forklifts or other equipment
Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles
Verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
Packaging and labeling of produced goods
Maintaining inventory records and performing regular cycle counts
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
Meet or exceed production goals as established.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
