Outbound - Material Handler I
About The Position
Responsible for operating forklifts and cherry pickers to unload materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and picking product for shipment. This role involves accurately picking parts, weighing product, checking part numbers and quantities, and packing orders into shipping cartons. The Material Handler will also read customer order notes, fill orders with special customer requirements, maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies, and assist with inventory counts and audits. They will report any stock shelf issues, defective materials, shortages, or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor, and are responsible for maintaining warehouse cleanliness and orderliness, while following all safety rules. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Strong proficiency in English communication including reading, writing, and verbal interactions are required for complying with safety protocols and operational procedures.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ years of related job experience preferred.
- RF handheld experience preferred.
Responsibilities

- Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy.
- Accurately pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer.
- Read customer order notes and fill the order with any special customer requirements.
- Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies.
- Assist in counting physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed.
- Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues.
- Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
