About The Position

The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Amsterdam, NY manufacturing plant for a full-time Material Handler, I /Inventory Control to join our team! This role is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy and material flow within the facility. This includes receiving, storing, tracking, labeling, and issuing materials, as well as performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory records. The goal is to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods while following company procedures and safety standards. The Gund Company is a manufacturer and fabricator of engineered material solutions specializing in customized electrical insulation parts. With 16 facilities worldwide, we specialize in custom fabricated parts manufactured according to ISO 9001:2015 certified quality systems. We take a consultative, engineering approach to understanding customer needs and have a reputation for outstanding customer service and quality.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry and/or inventory control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials.
• Place materials in designated locations following inventory procedures.
• Pick, pack, and issue materials for production or shipment.
• Performing cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in systems or logs.
• Other duties as assigned.
