Requirements

High school Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
2-3 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nice To Haves

Prior shipping and/or receiving experience.
Forklift operation experience handling oversized loads.
Experience driving a combi-lift.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift and combi-lift in a fast-paced production environment.
Communicate effectively with the team to accomplish all production and shipping goals.
Perform daily preventative maintenance of the forklift.
Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
Load and unload trucks based on load sheet, working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Participate in the receiving process of all raw materials and warehouse parts.
Collect and deliver a wide variety of materials, adhering to good safety practices.
Stack materials in storage areas and load shipments in trailers.
Ensure all bundles of material are accounted for, properly packaged, identified, and staged for loading.
Process and complete all related paperwork.
Perform other material handling duties in other departments as assigned.
