About The Position

The Bernard Group is a 100% employee-owned visual merchandising company leading the retail industry in design and production. They are looking for an experienced Material Handler, Fabricator to join their team. This role is responsible for keeping the flow of products running smoothly within the Fabrication area and collaborating to deliver world-class products to customers. The company emphasizes using sustainable materials sourced from eco-friendly partners that support social change and community involvement.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Thorough and organized approach to work
  • Close attention to details on every project
  • Basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
  • Self-motivated, a fast learner, and shows initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage work
  • Ability to complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
  • Effective time management and self-management skills
  • Understanding and maintenance of the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
  • Flexibility to change
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) experience preferred
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
  • Worked in a fast-paced mid-size company

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates all types of forklifts
  • Handles the loading and unloading of media to production areas and cutting machines
  • Opens pallets of new media to be ready for the presses
  • Ensures that the next job is prepared for the Cutting Operator
  • Makes certain that the production floor is kept clear of debris and recycling materials
  • Communicates with the cut and print leads to understand their needs
  • Handles the unloading of materials as they arrive
  • Delivers empty skids to the cutting area for completed jobs to be placed on
  • Stages jobs for the TBG transfer truck
  • Drives the delivery truck between TBG buildings as needed
  • Scans materials in process (MIP) using a TBG internal system
  • Assists in maintaining a clean work environment and dock area
  • Completes an inspection log of the company truck
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
