About The Position

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved. Logs and removes Bindery/Finishing materials out of inventory for upcoming jobs. Logs excess materials back into inventory when jobs complete. Wraps skids. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Stages printed material to appropriate equipment. Removes full waste boxes from Bindery/Finishing and Pressroom. Maintains product handling equipment. Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information. Operates forklift or reach truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products throughout the warehouse and production areas. Operates straight truck to assist in moving materials and products between buildings. Computer knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Objectives: Reduce downtime incurred by machine operators due to moving skids of material. Ensure accuracy of materials to each piece of equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good written communication skills.
Efficient time management skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Ability to work by self with little supervision.
