About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This role supports receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and shipping operations by operating material handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Material Handler also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required material handling equipment certifications
  • Must be a US Person (Citizen or Green Card Holder) or have the ability to obtain the necessary Government licensing to work with controlled technology and products

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or material handling operations
  • Working knowledge of vehicle safety systems, operating controls, and preventive inspection requirements
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including safe driving practices, inspections and vehicle maintenance standards
  • Experience with operating forklifts, tow tractors, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store and move materials in accordance with established procedures
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, tow trains, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently
  • Pick, pack, stage, load and ship materials and products to support operational and customer requirements
  • Accurately process material movements and inventory transactions in company systems
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through stock management, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities
  • Support inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, returns and reverse logistics processes
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, regulatory, and company requirements
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
