About The Position
The Wasserstrom Company, a leading national Food Service Distributor established in 1902 and family-owned, is seeking a Material Handler for its Bethlehem Distribution Center in Bethlehem, PA. This role offers new market pay rates and the benefit of daily pay through Payactiv. The position involves loading/unloading product shipments, picking/put-away/counting product from/to racking, using an RF scanner for verification, and operating motorized equipment safely. The shift is first shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, with occasional Saturday work required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- 1 - 2 years previous forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Loading and/or unloading product shipments from trucks to shipping/receiving platform
- Picking/put-away/counting product from/to racking in case or pallet quantities
- Utilizing RF scanner and/or pick label to verify item/quantity/location to pick and/or receive
- Operating multiple pieces of motorized equipment in a safe and proper manner
