About The Position

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

Requirements

• Must be forklift certified. (required only in designated areas)
• Must be willing and available to work overtime and Saturdays as scheduled.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate and perform required documentation.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads shop packets and bills of lading or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Includes moving corrugated to end use storage areas.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures as appropriate and conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled as appropriate.
• Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Cycle count specific storage locations and/or inventory on a daily basis.
• Prepares material for outside services.
• Communicates with buyers/ engineering regarding materials.
• Other duties may be assigned.
