About The Position
This position involves the handling of material for the RTI Department. This department has various machinery that is used to temper and fabricate the ready-to-install glass material. The shift for this role is held on Monday - Friday, starting at 7am. Overtime or a Saturday may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Must have visual acuity to review work orders, enter data, and print documents
- Must be able to read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions and decimals
- Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, twist, walk, push, pull, and reach frequently
- Must be able to perform heavy work, lifting and moving material that can weigh up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled (protection from the weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes)
- Must have close visual acuity to perform assigned tasks
Responsibilities
- Lift and arrange glass on/off conveyor
- Work with a partner to properly and safely load and unload glass from machine
- Use a computer system to input the proper operation for the glass tempering and enter production system
- Complete daily worksheets
- Inspect all glass for defects such as chips, bubbles, scratches, blown holes, proper edgework, etc.
