About The Position

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove, a leading manufacturer of luxury kitchen appliances, is a family-owned company in the Goodyear, AZ area. They are seeking a Material Flow Engineer to lead, continuously improve, and optimize the movement of materials within the manufacturing plant. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain, with a focus on growth and development for future leaders or technical experts.

Requirements

  • Experience with CAD software for layout planning.
  • Proficiency in using data and simulation software to model material flow.
  • Ability to collaborate with Production, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Understanding of material handling systems and warehouse layouts.
  • Skills in process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and optimizes the movement of raw materials, parts, and finished goods within a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective production.
  • Reduces waste by developing end-to-end material handling processes and designing warehouse layouts.
  • Develops dock-to-point-of-use material handling systems, optimizing lineside space utilization and material replenishment.
  • Creates detailed material flow paths, warehouse layouts, and storage solutions using CAD software to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborates with Production, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to improve safety, quality, and reduce material handling costs.
  • Uses data and simulation software to model material flow and validate labor/equipment requirements.
