About The Position

Valcom is a global leader in voice paging, intercom, and emergency notification systems, with nearly all products engineered, manufactured, and supported in their 120,000-square-foot facility in Roanoke, Virginia. The Material Flow Coordinator supports the production team by ensuring materials, parts, and supplies are delivered to designated production areas when needed, monitoring inventory, removing completed goods and excess materials, and coordinating with supervisors to prioritize distribution. This hands-on role is critical for maintaining smooth and efficient operations.

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

• Basic understanding of production workflows (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials, parts, and supplies to designated production areas based on production needs
• Monitor inventory levels at workstations and replenish materials as needed
• Remove completed goods, scrap, and excess materials from work areas
• Support continuous production flow by anticipating material needs
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to prioritize material distribution
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of material storage areas
• Assist with staging materials for upcoming production runs
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Accurately track and report material movement when required
• Perform other duties as assigned
