About The Position

Lacks Enterprises is a locally owned and privately held business based in the West Michigan area. The company describes a family atmosphere, a culture of loyalty and teamwork, and more than 2,200 employees across over 25 facilities. It is hiring Material Feed Control employees for its molding facilities. The role supports production by ensuring the proper delivery of materials to the appropriate molding machines and includes maintaining material-feed equipment, assisting with related production tasks, and keeping work areas and materials organized. Positions are available on first, second, and third shifts.

Requirements

Detail- and technically oriented.
Ability to obtain a Hilo license.
Good organizational skills.
Thorough understanding of the material feed system.
General understanding of the injection molding process.

Responsibilities

Identify virgin and regrind resins.
Label resins according to weight, date, and material type.
Ensure material lines are connected and feeding properly.
Load materials properly.
Assist with taking dew point readings as instructed by the Process Technician, where applicable.
Assist with grinding as instructed by the supervisor.
Assist with demetallizing and sifting regrind as instructed by the supervisor, where applicable.
Clean grinders and set them up on running presses.
Ensure material dryers are at the proper temperature and hoses are properly secured.
Perform housekeeping duties as required.
Maintain equipment associated with the material feed system.
Set up presses after mold changes.
Help the floor utility worker when time allows, where applicable.
Keep the material pack organized and labeled, where applicable.
Record lot numbers on a log sheet and enter them into Mattec, where applicable.
Break down empty gaylords, where applicable.
Perform other tasks assigned by the designated supervisor.
