Material Expeditor
About The Position
The Material Expeditor expedites, routes, and dispatches materials and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. The role reviews the master production schedule to identify possible and actual shortages, alerts the appropriate authorities to potential problems, generates progress reports on schedule status, and maintains records of completed orders. It takes appropriate action to expedite materials, including arranging repairs for damaged material or transportation of in-house material. The position reports on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications.
Responsibilities
- Expedite, route, and dispatch materials and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments.

- Take appropriate action to expedite materials, such as ordering repairs for damaged material or arranging in-house material transportation.
