About The Position
The Material Expediter (Level 1) for the Production, Planning and Control organization is responsible for scheduling and expediting part movement, coordinating inter-departmental activity, and ensuring timely delivery to support manufacturing. This role involves managing the flow of materials across the production network.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Entry level.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Nice To Haves
- Inventory Control and material handling knowledge
- Experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
- Black Belt trained / certified
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
- SAP experience
Responsibilities
- Schedule and expedite move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
- Coordinate with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration.
- Communicate with all production sites and vendor locations, including travel as needed.
- Provide after-hours support to meet production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of material status and resolve bottlenecks.
